When Iā€™ve read it, I will post a GD thread summarizing the findings and arguments of both, as well as those of [_Armed Madhouse_](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0525949682/sr=1-1/qid=1155075896/ref=pd_bbs_1/102-3699665-7240168?ie=UTF8&s=books) by Greg Palast (of whom many Brits will have heard ā€“ heā€™s an American expat now working for the BBC). In the meantime, I just donā€™t want our British cousins to get the impression weā€™re all quite as stupid/ignorant/evil as the 2004 election seemed to demonstrate. ---

[/QUOTE] Actually, despite your apparent belief that this is an either/or situation, there is nothing inconsistent in believing (a) that Bush got more votes than Kerry in 2004, and (b) that there were enough irregularities and unexplained problems in Ohio to raise serious doubts about the health of the electoral process. ---

We ainā€™t going thru the Ohio thing again, are we? In the course of the most recent thread about that, it was never conclusively shown that any irregularities actually occured. Merely that the chance of such was possible. Re-read the fucking thread(s) if you need a refresher. ---

Second, this forum is chock full of such off-hand quips; my post, while not archetypal for the Pit, is hardly _atypical_, so I donā€™t quite understand your vigorous response to it. Third, I donā€™t see how that post of mine implies that I believe itā€™s an either/or situation. Since you have correctly identified it for what it was, it seems rather silly of you to postulate thereā€™s some rigorous chain of logic behind it.
