I think some Psychological Math should be included to give the OP some clarity of his situation: **Mom + Son + Daughter + Boyfriend = 3 Family Members + OP + Drama** The Drama Identity Theorem is applied first by dividing each term with “Drama”…then you get: **Enabling Mom + Asshole Son + Intimidated Daughter + Freeloading Boyfriend = Dysfunctional Family + Confused OP + .9999999…** Associative Property is then applied to get: **Enabling Mom + Asshole Son + (Intimidated Daughter + Freeloading Boyfriend) = Easy Going MILF w/Mental Breakdown + Threatening 300lb. In this thread, he said she is 17 and he is 18. (Post #55) He also refers to her as his high school sweetheart, which doesnt quite make sense in regard to the linked thread where he just started dating her a few weeks ago. I am curious about something - he wanted to leave on Christmas when mom was having a nervous breakdown, right? Mom is his transportation, right? So how was he trying to leave when she was sobbing in her room? Was he banging on the door saying, hey, when you get a chance, drive me home? Or does he have other transportation available that he generally chooses not to use, since its so much easier to bum a ride Friday nights and Monday mornings? ---

This is the least mysterious part of the story. I’ll give him credit for hesitating to ask her to take two hours out of her already shitty Christmas to drive him home. Or maybe he just realized that she would not be amenable to such a suggestion. ---

The next day, we were planning to all go to a sort of family reunion/Christmas dinner, in a town which had a train station (again, 20-minute ride away). **BPC** , have you ever posted about your relationships and \*not \*had everyone be like, “Dude, wtf is wrong with you?”? Surely you must have known this would happen. The problem isn’t even really that your relationships are fucked up. My relationships are fucked up all to hell and most people are still pretty cool to me. The problem is that you show absolutely no self-awareness about it. It’s always all, “Why is gf’s mommy/gf’s brother/the general public/etc. RUINING OUR LUV?!” It’s like you sincerely believe that you and that 14-year-old developmentally-disabled girl or that 48-year-old cougar would have actually had a shot if not for those pesky kids. ---

I think I’m not risking my neck by suggesting that no one in this thread is clairvoyant, mainly because _nobody_ is clairvoyant. Which is usually okay, because it doesn’t take a magical power like clairvoyance to understand certain things about people around you. If you realize that you lack empathy and have certain other tendencies (which I’ll not definitively label at the moment, but words like “sociopathic” come to mind), then maybe you should consider getting some counseling to work on your social skills.
