Fuck you with a wire brush. Sideways. And that goes for Morpheus and Overnet, too. Every time I’ve run ad-aware I have to re-install. I know that spyware pays for your services, but it still annoys me. :calmer now: I just needed to do a mini rant. ---

I’m glad I have Kazaa… it allows me to share hefty video files of movies that I make myself, without having to pay big bucks for web space and bandwidth. 'Course, I wouldn’t use such a service for unethical purposes… {Edited at request of poster. Lynn} ---

ad-aware doesn’t force you to delete files. That said, you choose to use add supported software, you can deal with the annoyance. Unless it does actual damage, I can’t see ranting about free programs that you have chosen of your own volition to install. ---

In fact, you can set Ad-Aware to ignore certain files/folders the first time they come up, and then after that it won’t nag you about those at all. ---

I’m mad at KaZaA too, but for a different reason. On my campus, we’re having some serious bandwidth issues, and KaZaA is a major culprit (mainly because it is the most prominent of the P2P programs at this moment). Apparently the latest release made it even harder to choke the bandwidth it uses. This really isn’t why we have this connection. \>.\< ---

I’ve heard …rumours… about a version of Kazaa that has its spyware and adware hacked out… I suppose one could even call it a “lite” version, perhaps. ---

There is an illegitimate version of kazaa with the spyware removed. It still gives me the occasional problem, but it beats the fuck out of Kazaa “heavy.” Email me if you can’t figure it out. ---

Ad-Aware removes the CD\_Clint.DLL which is required for Kazaa to run. You can get a “fake” CD\_CLint.DLL from several places, it lets the program run w/o pop-ups. Just make sure you don’t have Ad-Aware remove it. ---
