There’s an Amber Alert right now so a few times every hour the alert plays on the radio, preceded by an air raid siren sound to get people’s attention. This morning I heard an ad for a car dealership with the ‘beep-beep-beep’ sound usually heard on the TV during Amber Alerts and weather alerts. I initially thought it was another special alert, this time directly from the police department or something. But no, it was just some douchebags taking advantage of the public’s increased attention to the radio. I listen to this station every day at work - I _suppose_ it could be coincidence I’ve never heard this ad until the day after the Amber Alert was issued. And as I was typing this, a new alert came on the radio! The girl from the Amber Alert has been found. Well, I guess that fizzles out my outrage somewhat. ---

I can just hear the copy now - “Amber Alert! If you don’t come to our sale and buy some shit from us, you’ll wish you’d been abducted!” I heard the Amber Alert on the news last night - I didn’t realize they played it so often on the radio. ---

You should drop a line to other radio and/or television stations that are not owned by the same corporation. ---
