I think he’s pitting the first Pandora, original of all women and the dumb bitch who opened the jar containing all the evils of the world, which promptly flew out and have been plaguing us ever since.

Women! Constantly sticking their noses in to places which don’t concern them (and yes, Ma, I am thinking of you, always finding my stash of dope as a kid _wherever_ I hid it and dispatching it to Limbo. Miss you.)
