Well, SkipMagic locked my nonreal cat thread, calling it a “parody thread” even though I explained in the thread that although it was based on a joke, I started thinking about it and was curious to see how many people could come up with. So now I have to wonder if I can ever post any nonserious topics there. ---

Rather, it seemed like it was a “monkey see, monkey do” response to other non-serious threads such as “movies featuring cats that have no actual cats in the movie” and “movies where people brush their teeth.” A sheep following the herd in attempting to be humorous by way of imitation, if you will. ---

And I already explained in my nonreal cat thread that yes, the idea germinated as a joke, but I thought it was an interesting topic. And it produced a link to an Italian animated short that I thought was great. Who made you the judge of what’s serious enough for Cafe Society? ---

Maybe the op’s dump thread example was intended as a parody of other puposefully silly threads, but on it’s own it was a decent question that deserved answering and not closing. As a kid, I remember someone desribing Indiana Jones as looking as if he has not had a dump for days. I began to wonder, when and where does Indiana Jones have a chance to take dump? Which of course led me to think about when and where Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Darth Vader let em lose. I’m just saying, even in this pit thread, people want to continue talking about the topic of characters crapping in movies! ---
