# Fuckin' Popups

By “Popups” I mean when you open one Web page and Explorer pops up in another window with another URL, invariably an advertisement. I HATE THOSE. I fucking HATE them.

How do I make them go away? Forgive by ignorance, but a cursory look through IE 5.5 does not obviously reveal a way to turn unwanted popups off.

Try this:

[http://www.webwasher.com](http://www.webwasher.com)

Supresses popups, ads, and banners. For some web pages that open with a popup you’ll have to turn it off and hit the refresh button if you get nothing but a blank page. Free if its being used non-commercially. I love it!

For a pop-up only solution, simply turn off javascript in IE5.5

I’ll strongly second WebWasher. I’ve been pushing that little piece of nifty software to anyone and everyone for a while now.

Best damn piece of software I have on my comp.
