My garbage men will not pick the little bags of poop out of my big garbage can, they only pick out big bags of trash. So your little bag of poop stays until I transfer it to another bigger bag. I caught one throwing a little bag of dog poop into my large can and they are convinced I am a crazy man that will kill them if they ever do it again. I believe in total overkill to get the idiots attention. Hope word gets out. I have SEVEN dogs, walk them all and carry their poop back to the house with me every single time. Those that think its ok to share their poop, it isn’t. I share the OPs outrage and multiply it times 10. ---

I live in a small neighborhood where some of us leave our bins out all week. I don’t think I’ve ever found poop bags in my trash, but truthfully, I see a lot of dog walkers and I’ve never seen any of them pick up poop or carrying a poop-bag, so there ya go. I don’t know where the dogs go. My dogs poop in my own yard, and I don’t even let them pee on anyone else’s property. They are allowed on the grass verge to pee, and the boys are allowed to use telephone poles but not mailboxes, tires, etc. I wouldn’t put my trash in anyone else’s trash can, so I guess I wouldn’t put my dog’s poop in one either… ---

As a dog owner, I don’t care, when I police the lawn I throw ,y dogn’s poop in the trash, and as long as it’s picked up, not lying there on my property, feel free to use my trashcan. it already stinks. I do carry her poop from walks home unless I can find a public can, we don’t usually run on trashcan pickup day. The guy who really pissed _me_ off picked up after his dog, walked onto my property, and put the poop in the recycle barrel. Him, I would cheerully have shot. ---

I walk my dog early. ( 5 a.m. ) And I always use my plastic shopping bag to retrieve her poops. I _amost_ always bring them home with me. I _occasionally_ (rarely, hardly ever!) place them into another’s garbage can on the way home. And the only day that I ever do is on garbage-pickup day. (My doggie and I walk by garbage can after garbage can that morning, many of them uncovered.) I rest assured knowing that since I committed my deed at 5 a.m., and the garbage is picked up by 7a.m., the “victim” never knew what hit 'em. ---

While that might make your husband feel good, it’s still the wrong thing to do. Dump it into a large bag or something, but dumping it into the street is wrong, wrong wrong. ---

Letting their fucking mutt poop right in front of my mailbox, as happened last summer. Walking their goddamn elephant dogs and letting them poop and pee everywhere, including all over other people’s shrubs. Don’t even get me started on outdoor cat owners. I do not want your stupid cat in my yard, peeing on everything, and scaring away the birds. I can’t even get a bird feeder because I know the local outdoor cats will be on it like a ton of bricks. It’s a city, not 500 yards away there are TWO 40 mph roads; keep your damn cats inside. But, no, they will be “unhappy”. Yeah I’m sure they’re perfectly happy as they get mowed down by someone’s truck or killed by a local wild animal. ---
