I wonder what the series of penalties would be for nailing a Blue Angel with a 30-06? ---

Well, **Asylum** , all I can suggest is that you take comfort in knowing it’s just an occaisional thing. Unlike living under the approaches for NAS Oceana. F-14s coming in low and slow are really effing loud. Esp. if you just worked mid shift. ---

You need to provide solutions with the complaints, man, and I’ve got one: Move the Graduation ceremony to Patuxent River(\*)! Seriously – USNA happens to be where almost any flight path has to go over civilian housing. Can’t help if the other two major Service Academies were sensibly placed outside cities, rather than in the middle of one… And dudes, the (un-)friendly fire jokes are fascinating, but do so many people crave a bunch of plain cars with dark tinted windows and no hubcaps driving up to their house at 4am with people wanting to talk :eek: 😉 ? I saw them in their farewell formation heading back to Pax River, so hopefully that’s it for this year. Next year maybe I’ll leave town graduation week. All I know about what’s going on at the Academy at graduation time is that I don’t want to go anywhere near the area.\* Strange as it may seem, we’re an Air Force family, so we have no great love for the Navy. Or the Army. Or the Blue Angels; the Thunderbirds are _much_ better. 😃 \*\*In fact, I was warned off by my doctor’s office when I tried to make an appointment with them Friday morning – you can throw a stone from their front door to the Navy stadium. Needless to say, I doubt they’ll be seeing many patients that day. \* ---
