# Fucking Wal-Mart management twits

Fucking Wal-Mart management! What color is the freakin’ air on their planet!
So, I’m going about my normal life, and planning our normal summer vacation. Spending two weeks in Florida with my brother was such a hit last year, that we decided to do a repeat.
- I book the beach house for a week. (Check - we get the one we want)
- Set up the pet sitter. (Check - no probelm)
- Warn my management that I’ll be taking off several weeks in June. (Check - and thanks for the advance notice)
- Girlfriend #1 asks for 16 days in June. (Check - gotcha covered)
- Girlfriend #2 asks for the same days…
And we get a fucking train wreck. The response? 16 days! No one ever takes 16 days vacation! No one in the history of Wal-Mart has taken 16 days vacation! (insert incredulous arm waving here) And she’s given the ultimatum of either working at Wal-Mart, or taking vacation with her family.
What in the fuckity of fucks is this shit! How can you say that, when you just approved GF#1’s vacation with nary a fucking blink. Another employee is off for 17 days right this fucking minute! GHAH! :mad:
So she has a big pow-wow with the assclown who said it, and the manager of the store. It’s againt Wal-Mart policy to give employees more than 7 days off, they say. (despite the fact she took two and a half weeks last year too). But they’ll approve it _this time_ because they’ve already approved GF#1’s vacation. So it just wouldn’t be fair to deny GF#2’s. **?!?** No, “We would be understaffed”, or “We already have X amount of employees taking off at the same time”. Nope. They just decided it was againt Wal-Mart policy.
WTF kind of management thinks it’s resonable to only let employees off for one week? Don’t they think that families like to travel to distant locales to unwind? And that it might take more than a week to travel to/from and enjoy themselves? Is this something so fucking unheard of that it shattered their little corporate minds?
My theory is that they just don’t know what to do with GF#2. She’s a good worker. Shows up on time. Does good work. Needs no supervision. But she won’t bow down to the manly men who have been placed above her. She even goes so far as to _gasp_ _Question Their Judgement_. My word! :eek: So they try to make things difficult for her. This is normal in this little town when women get “uppity”.
GF#2 is going to try to find some evidence of this supposed “policy”. Hopefully, she can talk to someone at the home office about it. Because it sounds freakin’ ludicrous to me.
Fuck 'em. We’re going to Florida! 😃

That would be a thought, but both of them have quit before. If they quit again, they’ll have to work at the race track or something.

The way the laws here here, full time employees don’t get more than 2 weeks off for the first 4 (or is it 5?) years of employment. Then, its 3 until the 10 year anniversery, then 4.
How many years have you worked there? Are you full or part time? As far as I know, most part timers are not even legally entitled to Vacation.

No, I got it right. For some reason the whole scenario is more plausible with the three of you as lesbians rather than one guy and two girlfriends. I don’t know why, but it is.

Anyway I’ve done my time in Wal-Hell and can honestly say you need a vacation or you will go clocktower sniper eventuially. Have fun in that tropical paradice.

I haven’t set foot in a Wal-Mart in over 4 months and I hope to never have to again. It is hell on earth, a place where genetic mutants unite to buy their cheap clothing and jumbo bags of potato chips. It is a place where everytime I’ve ever been in line there has been some sort of problem at the register that has taken 15 minutes to resolve.
I hate Wal-Mart with a passion.

(One simply cannot buy frozen items there - they WILL melt before you can get out of the store.)

If anyone cares to share my hatred and vitriol against Wal Mart, may I refer you all to the recent issue of Mother Jones magazine? There’s a terrific article in there about what terrible employers they are and how Wal Mart is really at the root of all the problems in the Universe.
