Fucking WikiTermites!

Not every podunk band deserves an article. You need to prove something is notable enough to be listed, not just rant and rave when people question it. There are rules about what makes a band notable, and if you can’t find reasons from that page to justify the article’s existence, then it’s just adverpromovanitycruff.

The biggest problem with Wikipedia is all the people who know squat about what an encyclopedia is for adding garbage all the time. Wikipedia is not supposed to be a web directory, or a social network, or a free web hosting service. It’s supposed to provide good, solid information on encyclopedic topics, which it can’t be when any moron with an Internet connection is not only allowed but encouraged to change anything they want.

I’ve seen this band opening for Flogging Molly, and I don’t really like them. However, how much space does one freakin page take up? It’s not like the Big Damn Band will automatically show up in wiki searches or take up banner space.

With around 1/10 of the hits on “Random Page”, footballing-related entries surely aren’t as world-altering to justify so much verbage? Let’s prune them instead.

Yes. There’s one who has made it his life’s mission to delete anything bad anyone might say about Snopes, basing his decision on “the info is not documented enough”. If someone does come up with better documentation, he just raises the bar. And there’s nothing any of us lowly users can do.

Snopes allowed it’s advertisers free rein to put anything the advertisers wanted into their ads- including Adware, Spyware, etc.

This guy has class!

The page in question has already survived a Articles for Deletion debate and the result was keep.

Since adding the information, they were the house band on a Jerry Springer Pay-Per-View special, have played blues festivals in Italy and Switzerland and toured opening for Flogging Molly.
