[Jack - Daniels](http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&saddr=soup&daddr=nuts&sll=34.68814,-89.96522&sspn=9.137058,13.205566&ie=UTF8&z=6&om=1) This link is wrong. How do you make it give a clickable link from this thread?
1. Open the google maps page with the view that you want. 2. Right-click on the “Link to this Page” link at the top right of the map. A context menu pops up. 3. Select “Copy link location” from this menu. The location of the page is saved into the clipboard, as if you had pressed Ctrl-C (Windows)/Command-C (Mac). 4. Open your posting window on the Dope. 5. Type **{url="** (left square bracket, u, r, l, =, double quote) 6. Paste the stored link location text. 7. Type \*\* "} \*\* (double quote, right square bracket) 8. Type the text you want to appear as the link text. 9. Type **{/url}** ((left square bracket, slash, u, r, l, right square bracket) 10. Press the Submit button. The link text appears, with the link pointing to the address of the google maps view. The total text you type and paste appears as: {url=“long pasted-in google map URL”}This link points to a map{/url}. Note: I had to use curly brackets here {} because the SDMB system parsed my sample square brackets as an actual link even though I told it not to. ---
