By their definition, “non-Muslim” seems to be “anyone who doesn’t agree with us.” With that definition, non-Muslims are really quite easy to spot; a Muslim who deosn’t agree with them isn’t a true Muslim. ---

I looked around in there too. It seems that when an opened minded muslim does post, they are quickly declared not a true muslim and restricted to non-muslim only section. It makes me really sad to see some of the attitudes on that board. I really wish the SDMB could lure in an intelligent and open minded memeber of the islam faith, and large Q&A session with them. ---

Seriously speaking, this really does look like a set-up. I did a search and can’t find any posts prior to Dec 2001. If it started then, that would be kind of an interesting date to start this kind of a message board, eh? I wonder how many of the posters are agents? Not that the remarkably sociopathic and naive ( a dangerous combo if ever there was one ) clientele would care. ---

**Efrem** , I think **grienspace** was counting you among the open-minded Muslims at _this_ message board, in response to **reprise** ’s suggestion about **Muslim Guy** ’s posts. And that he did a search for you on the idiot board, the implication being that he _didn’t_ find you there. ---

That would be my guess too, **efrem**. No harm intended, probably. We can’t stop you from registering there, but please, don’t mention The Straight Dope. We’ve had a rather unpleasant experience with a fundamentalist Christian message board a couple of years ago, and truth be told, they pale compared to these people. I’d say leave them be, but if you must go and post there, remember that you’re not promoting the Dope in any way shape or form.
