He has a point. The God presented in Christian texts seems to have undergone a great deal of personal growth since He started bossing around an obscure bunch of desert shepherds. Western religion has been on the wrong path ever since the day Father Abraham chose his God over his son. That episode is often called “the testing of Abraham.” So it was, but Abraham did not pass that test, he **failed** it. ---
