Fundraisers are almost entirely raffle ticket sales here in Cayman. And expensive ones at that. Often the minimum raffle ticket is CI$25 (US$31.25) and raffles tickets are often on sale for CI$100 (US$125). Sales are at table in the entryway of the supermarkets and are very rarely manned by the kids if it is a youth oriented activity.

And it is every single week, all year long, or so it seems. Youth soccer. The Rugby club. Little League baseball. Church Youth group. Fundraiser for Disease/Medical Condition of the Week.

I live in the northeast US, and I see local Boy Scout troops selling grilled hotdogs and hamburgers outside big box stores like Sam’s Club frequently.
