Recently I’ve been listening to a lot of music by: **The Chambers Brothers The Meters** and **Sly and the Family Stone** Great stuff!!! Anyone have any recomendations of other bands along these lines? Or good albums? Or whatever? ---

I really like George Clinton and P-Funk. I bought a Rhino CD called Millenium Funk Party. It has a lot of r&b and funk music from the 70’s like Earth Wind & Fire and Cameo and Curtis Mayfield. That CD might give you some ideas about what other bands you might like. ---

Most of Prince from 80’s was quite funky and anything involving George Clinton. I quite like the Brothers Johnson and The Time too. ---

You might like Bad Mutha Goose, although they came around late 80’s early 90’s, but their covers of Parliment and Funkadelic as well as originals were great. ---

I’m not sure if this fits the profile but **Infectious Grooves** is pretty funky and rocky.
