One of the greatest sight gags ever filmed: The Nazi Pinto falling from higher than the John Hancock building in _The Blues Brothers_. The sheer absurdity of it – they drove off an unfinished highway off-ramp and fell thousands of feet – had me absolutely busting a gut the first time I saw it. ---

[![]( " - YouTube") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdvFx6a_jUo) This isn’t a movie scene, its not even a regular tv show scene, its Tim Conway going off script in a live show, the comedy timing is just exquisite, just watch how he waits each time to give his next line, just watching the reactions of the rest of the cast is a treat. Numerous scenes from **Monty Python’s Life of Brian** rank among the funniest ever as far as I’m concerned. I’ve watched this about a hundred times, and it cracks me up every time. Seriously, this whole thread could be purely made up of quotes from _Blazing Saddles_ and _Young Frankenstein_ and I for one wouldn’t feel cheated. One that just hit me on the second viewing is from the end of _Up_. Carl and Russell are sitting on the curb outside the ice cream shop, happily licking their cones and playing the game Russell used to play with his Dad before he turned distant. One counts each red car that goes by, the other counts all the blue cars, and the one who ends up with the higher number wins. Dug the dog is sitting loyally beside them. After a few lines from Carl and Russell – “I see a red car.” “There’s a blue one!” Dug chimes in with: “I see a grey one.” It totally slipped past me the first time I saw the movie and so it hit me extra hard when I _got_ it. Dug is a dog! He can only see black and white! He saw a grey car because he can’t identify the colors! I think I giggled for 5 minutes. And the thread wouldn’t be complete without: “Nobody’s perfect.” ---
