I missed Danny Kaye by a generation or more, but have developed an appreciation for his genius. The Court Jester is one of my favorites, and the “pellet with the poison” scene is well known. The parking lot fight scene in _The Big Lebowsk_i is what hooked me on the movie. My husband asked what I was laughing about in the next room and I couldn’t describe to him why it was so funny.
