**Jackass: The Movie** when one of the guys has to “Get his ass kicked by a girl”. He get’s in the ring with the womens world kickboxing champion. She toys with him a bit, then connects a vicious right hook across his jaw that pretty much knocks him out. They slow-mo the shot, and the look on the guys face as he’s going down is unforgettable.

I think one of my favorite parts of _Jackass: the Movie_ is when Johnny Knoxville has a pair of underwear attached to a tree by way of bungee cords or something similar. When he gets in the shorts and jumps out of the tree, he either falls out of the pants or gets stuck and flips around a few times. The last time they do the bungee jump, the underwear rips and Johnny lands on the ground. The reaction of his friends is hillarious.
Then again, it doesn’t compare to the Chris Pontius sticking a toy car up his butt and getting it x-rayed with a fake cover story. ::grins like a cheshire cat::

In **South Park: Bigger. Longer, and Uncut** , Stan is stumbling around in the woods when he finds this 20 foot tall Clitoris which basically tells him to be himself around Wendy. Later Stan runs into Kyle and Cartman, there is Chaos, war and destruction goijng on all around them:

Stan: Guys! Guys! I found the clitoris! Now I think I can get Wendy to like me!
Kyle: Wow, that’s just swell, Kyle.
Cartman: Yeah, all’s well that ends well. I guess we can all go home now, Dipshit!

Later, after he stands up to his mom, Stan and Wendy are together, Wendy kisses Stan.

Kyle: What about Gregory?
Wendy: I never really liked Gregory.
Kyle: Really?
Wendy: Yeah, really, Fuck Gregory, fuck him right in the ear!
Kyle: Hooray! Thank you, Clitoris!!

When I first saw **Airplane** , the movie **Jaws** was still reasonably fresh in our minds. So when that wing tip came up through the clouds with the Jaws theme in the background, I just fell apart.

There is also a moment in **The Big Chill** at a funeral when one of the characters begins to play “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” on the organ.

But I have to agree that the stateroom scene in **A Night at the Opera** is the funniest ever. It should not really be described, but experienced!

Oh man, the scen in **airplaine** when Leslie Nielson keeps pulling the same egg out of the sick passengers mouth in the style of a bad magician, then he cracks one of the eggs and a little bird flies out.

That scene in a **Charlie Chaplin** film where he is in the boxing ring with the bell-rope tied to his wrist, and then the way he always manages to get the ref between him and his opponent is pure quality. In fact most of any Chaplin movie kills me.

Possible spoilers–
Swingers- Jon Favreau asks Vince Vaughn and Patrick Van Horn how long he should wait to call a girl he met tonight. After a lengthy discussion, the conclusion is 2 days.

JF: Oh, so how long are you guys going to wait?

V V and PVH [deadpan, as if JF is stupid for asking]: Six days.

You really need to watch the movie to get it.
Also, the Joe Pesci ‘Am I a clown to you’ scene in Goodfellas. Classic!

I only really appreciated certian scenes in Airplane! after seeing Airport (IE we need someone who can land this plane and didn’t have fish for dinner!)
Monty Python and the Holy Grail- What are you going to do, bleed on me?

I have a few:

Two from **Rushmore** :

- The dinner scene after Max’s production of “Serpico”. My favorite part is when Ms. Cross’s boyfriend reaches across the table for the butter and Max swats the back of his hand with his spoon for poor manners.
- Max’s elaborate war production of “Heven and Hell” at the end of the movie: “Also you’ll find a pair of safety glasses and some earplugs underneath your seats. Please feel free to use them.” This, as the introduction to a _school play_. I died laughing the first time I saw that.

Another from **Jackass: The Movie** :

- The scene where the guys wake up Bam Magera’s parents with a garbage can full of bottle rockets and other fireworks. The shot from outside, showing a darkened house at night with an apparent firefight shining through the upstairs bedroom window was the funniest thing I may have ever seen.

From **Pulp Fiction** :

- The accidental shooting of Marvin in the backseat of Jules’ car was just so shockingly funny the first time I saw it. I couldn’t believe what I had just seen.

Two great scenes from not so great movies:
Dumb and Dumber - The scene where the two guys are at the the benefit for the endangered owl and then they open a bottle of champagne and the cork flies out and hits the owl between the eyes and kills him.
Funny Farm- Chevy Chase is out on a boat fishing with two locals. His lure gets caught in one of the guys, and he decides in order to get it out he must knock the guy out. He starts punching the guy but he can’t knock him out.
The one guy says to Chevy, “Your’e not knocking him out, your just beating the piss out of him.”

One of my all-time Favorites is in “Tommy Boy.”

Chris Farley (Tommy) and David Spade (Richard) have to take to the road making sales calls to save the company they work for, even though Richard can’t stand Tommy. They’ve been arguing over music and criticizing everything that comes on the radio. Finally, one of them dials in a station that is playing “Superstar” by the Carpenters. They each self-consciously start saying things like “Now THERE’S a lame song!” and “Feel free to change THIS station!” but neither of them does.

The next scene we see them driving down the highway belting out the lyrics (the part that pleads “Don’t you remember you told me you loved me baby!”) loudly and off-tune as tears stream down their faces.

Gets me every time.

I’ve got to mention the Blake Edwards/Peter Sellers movie **The Party** , especially the ridiculously drawn out _Gunga Din_ parody at the beginning.

My favorite seen, though, is at the party itself, when Peter goes off exploring, and finds a P.A. system that he thinks is just an oscilloscope\* – he talks into a microphone, and the sound waves from his voice cause the machine to display a green line, oscillating up and down along with the sound. He’s entranced, and keeps saying things into the mike (while everything he says is broadcast to the rest of the house without his knowledge). He finally ends up with “Birdie num-num” and finishes with a look of politely supreme satisfaction.

Much funnier than it reads.

- Please correct me if I’m wrong.

Speaking of Swingers, the scene where Jon Favreau has gotten home late and calls the woman he met at the bar **nine** times, going through an entire relationship worth of angst in 5 minutes is priceless.

Oh God. How could I forget this from Planes, Trains, and Automobiles? Edie McClurg plays the car rental agent. She’s rented a car to Neal, Steve Martin’s character, during the worst trip of his life. His car wasn’t in the assigned spot when he got there, and he had to walk through slush and cross highways to get back to the airport. He is bent when he gets back the rental counter, where the rental agent is having a good ol’ chat with one of her relatives on the phone, chatting about who is bringing what to dinner. She says things like “Oh Marge, you’re such a stitch!” and giggles and hangs up by saying “gobble gobble.” You can tell she’s just the sweetest person ever. Neal says something rude to her.

Rental Agent: I really don’t care for the way you’re speaking to me.

Neal Page: And I really don’t care for the way your company left me in the middle of f_cking nowhere with f_cking keys to a f_cking car that isn’t f_cking there. And I really didn’t care to f_cking walk down a f_cking highway and across a f_cking runway to get back here to have you smile at my f_cking face. I want a f_cking car RIGHT F_CKING NOW!

Car Rental Agent (now with a pinched, prissy look on her face): May I see your rental agreement.

Neal Page: I threw it away.

Car Rental Agent: Oh boy.

Neal Page: Oh boy what?

Car Rental Agent: You’re f\*cked!

I can’t believe that I’m the first to bring up Raising Arizona.

The entire lengthy scene where H.I. stops at the conveniece store to rob it and pick up some diapers is the funniest scene ever in any film. The whole scene is at least five minutes long and progresses into an extended chase.

But the best line comes at the beginning when Nicolas Cage, wearing a “panty” on his head, strolls up to the blond clerk who is reading a copy of “Juggs” magazine and says “I’ll be taking these Huggies and whatever cash ya got”. His wife outside notices what he is doing and gets pissed off causing him to add “And make it quick, I’m in dutch with the wife” which is probably my favorite movie line ever.

“Between these two pillows”

“Those aren’t pillows!”
That film is chock-full of very funny scenes.

IIRC, this was **Summer School**.

I was going to go for a scene from **Jackass** , but the whole movie was about the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.

The _Operation: Get Behind the Darkies_ scene from **Southpark: Bigger, Longer and Uncut** is the funniest scene that comes to mind right now.
Oh god, but the guy defecating in the display toilet at the hardware store… Bwahahahahahaha.

The Man With One Red Shoe:

After running into the same dead body everywhere in an apartment (the agent who made the body dead keeps moving it), Jim Belushi’s character is in the bathroom urinating (we hear the sound of splashing water). The door swings slowly shut and the body is there on the hook on the back of the door. Belushi slowly turns and says “Oh come on!”

The thing that get’s me laughing uncontrollably is the sound of the water splashing changes distinctly to “water splashing on linoleum”.
