Looking at the _30 Rock_ thread (where we’re also talking about _Arrested Development_) reminds me of the funny sexiness / sexy funnyness of Portia di Rossi, Jason Bateman, and Will Arnett. And I’m sure some would add Jessica Walter to that list. ---

I “discovered” Ginger Rogers and Carole Lombard a couple of years ago. Both of them drop-dead gorgeous blonds, both of them incredibly gifted comediennes. I don’t think there’s been anyone to match them since, though I agree that most of the women cited in this thread are in fact funny and sexy (with about half a dozen exceptions. I mean, “Wanda Sykes” sexy? Only if you think butt-ugly is sexy.) Still, as good as the rest of the nominees are, I don’t think any of them quite match Rogers or Lombard. ---

I thought of a few more gents adept at comedy and hella sexy: Robert Redford (_Barefoot in the Park, The Sting,_ and _Legal Eagles_), Paul Newman _The Sting_, and Rock Hudson (any of his Doris Day flicks). Yowsa! Also Rik Mayall (as Flashheart in _Blackadder II_ - rrrrowf!) and Lenny Henry. Some more women: Jean Arthur, Faith Ford, Melanie Griffith, Linda Darnell (especially in _Letter to Three Wives_), Barbra Streisand (yes, she was sexy in _Owl and the Pussycat_ and _What’s Up, Doc?_), and Miranda Richardson. ---

Both Abby on NCIS and Garcia on Criminal Minds are funny, sexy, and smart too. Odd because they are not the “types” associated with such–Abby is a Goth and Garcia is zaftig. ---

Sarah Chalke, Elliot on Scrubs Christa Miller, when she played Kate on the Drew Carey Show. I like her on Scrubs too, but she’s not as hot (I think it’s because she’s had work done) Connie Britton, Nikki on Spin City Jennifer Esposito Beth Littleford I’m a ladytype, and I’d still do any of the girls above. As for guys: Brendan Fraser does a good funny and sexy character in several movies John Hannah is hot as hell, and hysterical Simon Pegg is currently my hollywood crush, definitely funny and sexy ---

It’s hard to top Tina Fey, who combines funny, sexy and smart with self-deprecation and irony. Close behind are Allison Hannigan and Lauren Graham. That said, this thread is giving me lots of ideas for shows and movies I need to see (like “Enchanted”). And other ideas… I’ll be in my bunk. ---

It’s Annie **Leibovitz** (note spelling) and she didn’t take all of the pictures. As long as I’m here, for the guys, I think George Clooney is incredibly sexy, and though he’s purposefully not in his most comedic role, **O Brother, Where Art Thou?** , he is in another funny, sexy movie, **Out of Sight**. ---
