ITSTOLN It was a Mitsubishi Eclipse, I think. And damn, I know I saw a funny one the other day, but I can’t remember what it was. It was on the commute, so maybe I’ll see it again soon. ---

In California you can use ceratin symbols, one of which is a heart. Such as in JOE(heart)LIZ. Sorry I can’t be more graphic than that, but you get the idea. On a car in Los Angeles, I saw the following plate: ARTZF(heart)Z Hopefully no translation is necessary. ---

Not really funny, but my cousin who is notoriously bitchy, has a custom plate on her car reading—MOODY. There’s a red VW Beetle with the plate—GIRAFE in the commute every morning. It’s not really that funny until you see the driver. She’s got a neck like you wouldn’t believe. ---

I saw one once - long time ago so I don’t remember the model, something expensive though - MR SNIF. Figured he was either an allergist or a coke dealer. A friend and I saw a plate that cracked us up - 222 MOO. You probably had to be nearing the end of a long bus ride like we were to find it funny, but then again, we always managed to find something that would make us laugh hysterically for hours no matter how stupid it was. And as I just recently mentioned in another thread, I saw one earlier this week - FNORD. ---

I remember seeing a car with a large Playboy Rabbit Head decal obscuring its rear window. The license plate read, BIGTEASE More recently, a VW new beetle with the plate, BTLJUICE (also mentioned recently in another thread) ---

Not funny, but I once pulled up to a stoplight and the car in front of me had a regular issue license plate that was my initials and my birthday. ---

My dad bought a new car in 1980. A Fiat spider. All I ever heard for the next 4 years until I moved away was, “Change the oil on the Fiat”, “Put the snow tires on the Fiat”, “Wash the Fiat”, “Watch out for the Fiat”, “Blah blah blah the Fiat”. Dad would never say he was going to drive the car, it was always “the Fiat”. That vehicle was always referred to like that. Well, now its MINE! And it has “THEFIAT” as a licence plate. In the parking garage at work I often see a BMW with “DAS KAR”, along with a Mini Coooper with “LIL CAR” I saw recently a discussion online (might’ve been here) where someone mentioned wanting “4CB WTHU” (think Star Wars). But the funniest (to me) was when I pulled up behind a black Suzuki Samurai (you know, the ones that had a tendancy to tip?) with the plate “MOX JET”. Being the geek that I am, I found myself wondering whether a single black mana could be useful in a rollover… ---

Probably the most useless windbag I have ever met, a college professor, has a PT Cruiser. His license plate says “PEE TEE”. I think he just assumes everyone is as stupid as he is. ---

There was a well-known license plate incident in California some years back – a court reporter, using her steno machine shorthand (which uses groups of letters to substitute for other letters phonetically, in case anyone wondered how they do it), had a license plate that read: TP U BG – which, translated from the steno, read F U K. She insisted it was an abbrevation for “if you can.” Yeah, right. 😃 How many others have seen Volkswagen bugs with Y2K as their license plate? I’ve seen at least three of them now. It was funny the first time…for about two seconds. ---
