The phone rang one night, I said “hello”, and heard “blah, blah, longdistance rates, blah, blah, better rates, save money, blah, blah,”

My response?  
“I’m sorry, I don’t have a phone.” in the most deadpan voice I have.

The telemarketer’s response?(and a good response at that- she had a working brain.) “Well, what are you talking on now?”

The clincher? My response.  
“Oh, I thought you were the voices in my head…”

The phone call ended. Heh. Heh. Hmmm.
