[/QUOTE] Hey, they got that wrong. Cecil was a sea-serpent, not a dinosaur. A seasick sea serpent. I’m old. I was there. “I’M COMIN’, BEANY-BOY!!” That sounds very vaguely creepy now. ---

I want to know where the blazes this thing fits taxonomically. In vertebrates, my understanding is that dentition tends to be among the more conservative traits through genera and families. So, here we’ve got a sauropod with a dentition scheme that I’ve never heard about - for land based critters at least: nine rows of replacement teeth? That sounds like shark teeth, really. Nothing I’ve ever heard of for dinosaurs. So, how does it fit in with other dinosaurs? Where would it fit? Or is my very limited knowledge of sauropod dentition tripping me up, again? ---
