There is a Cease Funeral Home…also Moss Feaster Funeral Home, which I can’t pass without giggling. Yuck. My mom taught school for many years and the weirdest name was Lemonjello (pronounced leh-MON-jeh-low). I have heard stories (ULs?) about a woman wanting to name her child Gonorrhea (because it sounded pretty) and one who thought the doctors had already named her baby: Female (feh-MAH-lay). Anyone else heard these? ---

My older brother got fitted for his first pair of glasses by an optician (still in practice in Torrance, CA) named Dr. I. Reed Title. Honest. ---

Funny names deriving from foreign words: I worked with an Air Force Captain whose last name was Putz. Not only did he have the name, but had to wear it on his (uniform) shirt every day. “Captain Putz” - some sort of mutant superhero? [FYI - putz is a Yiddish word for the same male body part many of these funny names refer to.] There is a correspondent on CNN whose name is Linda Champa. No big thing unless you know Chilean Spanish, where “linda” means pretty and “champa” is slang for the female body part corresponding to the male part referred to above. “Live from [location], this is Pretty P\*$$y for CNN.” Always makes me laugh. ---

## There is a Realty Company in southern Delaware named Long, Brown, and Stiff. From my stockbroker days, I had as clients Dick Head, Henry Ford, John Wayne, and Raynor Schien (Rain or Shine).
