I’m going for George Foreman for pets from now on.
Makes things simpler if everyone is the same George Foreman.
Yep. That’s my plan.

Nope, never, only of the mouse in the “Bike” song.
Ella Jane Fitzgerald (April 25, 1917 – June 15, 1996) was an American singer, songwriter and composer, sometimes referred to as the "First Lady of Song", "Queen of Jazz", and "Lady Ella". She was noted for her purity of tone, impeccable diction, phrasing, timing, intonation, absolute pitch, and a "horn-like" improvisational ability, particularly in her scat singing. After a tumultuous adolescence, Fitzgerald found stability in musical success with the Chick Webb Orchestra, performing across t...
My ex-wife preferred getting female dogs (“that way you don’t feel like a pervert when you rub their belly”), and so we went with little old lady names (Stella and Ruby).
Our hypothetical next dog was going to be named after her diaper bag when she had our son:
Petunia Picklebottom
‘Gerald’ [is] a good one [name] for an elephant.
One of those days they are going to figure out how to shrink elephants down to the size of house cats, and they are going to make awesome pets!
I promise to take good care of Gus Van ‘Phant! I’ll feed him and walk him and everything!
Aww. Hugs and kisses too?
Can I get a little love from your Miniphant?
(No, we don’t believe in de-tusking, so get that right outta your head)
It sounds like you need two llamas.
You always need two llamas. They’re herd animals.
I had two llamas. No clever names, though. The white one was Comet (he was born during Hale-Bopp) and the second one was Diablo. Diablo was a sweet guy, although a little skitty. Not well named, but I didn’t have a hand in it.
Llamas are larger than frogs.
My daughter’s co-worker has a dog called Jill. I got scolded for saying that was a strange name for a dog.
There’s Roger the rescue dog. He was trained as a drug-sniffer, but he was deemed ‘too playful’.
The eight-year-old labrador has captured the hearts of Taiwan has he helped with the recovery efforts of last week's earth quake.
Roger the rescue dog.
I hope that’s a proper noun, and not a verb.
My sister’s cat is named Kestra, after the late sister of Deanna Troi from Star Trek: The Next Generation, who drowned as a young child when Deanna was an infant. Deanna didn’t know she existed until she was well into her Starfleet career.
We have previously had cats named Gizmo (named for the creature from Gremlins) and Velcro, so named because he used to claw his way up our pants legs. (It was very annoying. He didn’t last very long in our house.)
I ‘knew’ a guy (from an online community) whose handle was Gizmo. He picked it up when he was a Marine, where he was an IT tech. At his base/post/whatever, he became known as Guy from Information Systems Management Office, which became GISMO which morphed into Gizmo.
(@CrankyAsAnOldMan knew him, too.)
I definitely should have included a comma ![]()
