# Funny radio rendition of The 12 Days of Christmas?

This has got to be floating around on the 'Net somewhere, but I can’t find it. I’ll give you twelve pear trees and an assload of birds if you have a link.
Years ago, maybe in the late 80s or early 90s, my parents recorded a funny routine off of the radio, probably NPR or another public station. I would bet that it originated with the BBC, as it was British.
It took the form of a British woman reading a letter to a lover, one each day for twelve days.
The first one was something like this:
“Dear Cedric, Thank you so much for the gift! A pear tree! And a partridge to go with it! How very thoughtful! Love, Emily.”
The second one was something like:
“Dear Cedric, How delightful! A pair of calling birds, another partridge, and another pear tree! You lashish too much on me. I can see that I’m going to need to buy more cages. Love, Emily.”
By the tenth one, it was something like:
“Cedris – This is no longer funny. I must insist that stop sending me livestock. There are ten lords a-leaping after 24 milk maids. 30 geese are laying eggs everywhere, and 24 calling birds simply will not shut up!”
This ring a bell with anyone?

Those are very definitely along the same lines, but not what I remember. I wonder if those are knockoffs of the original.
