The LA Times has a columnist named Steve Harvey, who publishes a column called _ **Only in LA** _. Today’s [column](http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-000027403apr17.story) features **Tapeworm Road**. :eek: His specialty is signs and advertisements. I believe it’s published 4 days a week (Tuesday thru Friday, but not sure). Caution: link may expire soon. ---

I may have posted this before, but what the hey. The intersection of School St and Faile in the South Bronx. There is an elementary school there. We’ve got Conduits, North and South. Every time I see the No. Conduit exit on the Belt I think “You can do it if you really try.” ---

Where I grew up there was a school at the intersection of Rusholme Road and P Ave - Rusholme and P! We got lots of milage out of that as teenagers. ---

There’s a sign that I saw on Easter Monday that I’ve seen previously on the net somewhere. It’s a Mc Donalds sign advertising the next Macca’s which is at a town called Yass. The sign has the M symbol followed by YASS, i.e MYASS. Us Aussies actually use the word “arse” not “ass” to refer to the backside, so we probably don’t find is as funny as the Americans on the board may. I will be driving past the sign again tomorrow. ---

And I used to live a few miles from [Hickory Ave., Dickory Ave., Dock Street](http://www.statefarm.com/media/funny/hick.htm), the three of which form sort of a triangle. I recently found out that Dickory Ave. intersects with Mouse Lane a few blocks north of Dock street. I remember walking home down David Drive (which becomes Hickory Ave. when it crosses from Metairie into Harahan) one summer and noticing a pair of signs on a gas station. The first one read “Open 24 Hours” and the one under it read “Temporarily Closed”. ---

In Bastrop, outside of the Austin, there’s a new building with a sign reading: The “Dentists” I can’t believe people thought of the name, picked out the letters, ordered them, and installed them on the building without someone mentioning that the quotation marks indicate they are not dentists, but rather have let Billy Bob the janitor loose with dental tools. ---
