That’s too many letters. Most states only allow 7 letters or so. Yours is 9. Unlikely to be an officially issued plate in the US. Are you in Europe or somewhere else? How many characters do they allow where you are?

Or “ILIAD” was already taken and they were so married to the idea of using it that they accepted the alternate spelling.

I’d guess it was someone that had 1 boy and 2 girls but the various combinations of 1XY 2XX had been used. I went to school with someone who’s mom’s van (full size van BTW) had plates that said 8XX 2XY…they had 10 kids.

Also, just today I saw a plate that said, IAM B4U. She was in front of me.

I’ve seen these over the past few months:

TENTHMT - Dunno what it means. “Tenth Amendment”?
MAZL TOV
GIV THX
HIM 1ST
ONLY4US
ME NINJA
NTHROFF - “Another off”?
ECO RAD - on a Prius, naturally.
FTUHCA - Another puzzler.
DEAD ON
HIMSLF - Doubtless an Irishman.
VRYHAPY
HEY BVIS - “Hey Beavis!”
GIV THX
5.0 PONY - on a Mustang GT.
HI HEEL
FLAWLIS
KING KON
SPECLZD - “specialized.”
LUV U ALL
WLVRENE - A _Red Dawn_ or _X-Men_ fan?
MAPMAKR - A cartographer?
STAYFT - An exercise coach?
LOYFAN - Couldn’t tell of what team, though.
I RULE - No ego problem there!
ISKOJOY - not sure of this one.
KAUXON - or this one.

There’s two that I see so often that I don’t even think anything of them anymore, but the other day I figured I would mention them the next time this thread got bumped.

On my regular drive there’s one city block where I watch for three things: my car, Blues Power and Flamenco.
My car is an identical car to mine. I don’t see many Honda Insights so it always catches my eye. The other two are plates. A purple Porsche that says FLAMNCO (could be off on the spelling since now that I write it out it looks like Flamin’ Co.) and BLUSPWR. I like to think that Flamenco and Blues Power live together.

Well, there’s a “TIMMAY” handicapped tag parked a few spaces down in our development. What state was the one your friend posted?

Not funny, IMHO, but kind of cool – silver Mustang sporting the plates “[P51-Stang](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P-51_Mustang)” and WWII-style _[nose art](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nose_art)_ painted on the flank doors. ( I have no idea why the nose art wasn’t on the _nose_ (front panel), though.

I remember someone here (Alessan?) saying that you can get three different opinions on any given subject just by asking two jews. Ask two Spanish-speaking SQL-specialists how to pronounce SQL and you’ll get three separate opinions and a handful of IF statements.
“Es que él…” would mean something like “yeah but he…”, as in “yeah, but he started it!” It’s one of those structures which work like shite if you try to translate word for word. It carries a distinct whiny tone which the individual words do not convey.

And/or, their initials are SKL. (Not “SQL”, so the programmer thing is unlikely.)
