I saw one recently that said POGMTHON. Hadn’t a clue what that meant so I Googled it. Turns out it’s barely abbreviated Irish for “kiss my ass” (and a rather common Irish expression, too, used as a catchphrase even by those not otherwise fluent in Irish). This is clearly illustrated by the many pale Irish-ass moonshots that Google returns as images. I also learned that it’s pronounced like “Pogue Mahone” in English and is the source of the name for the rock band “The Pogues”. ---

B1N L4D4N is one I see round here a lot. There are quite a lot of people with that name, so they’re probably not related, but it still takes some gall to go to the effort of having a personalised number plate with that name. ---
