FWIW I asked my current AI to answer the exact same question you linked to and it had zero problem answering and took maybe 5 seconds to do it with the correct answer as verified by you and other posters there. Showed its work and everything (including converting units and using the kinematic equation for constant acceleration).
So, it got better? I dunno.
