Alex and his droogs stole a sports car in _A Clockwork Orange_. I may be remembering incorrectly, but I believe he mentioned it as a “ **brand-new** 1994 Durango” (while there is a vehicle called the Durango on the market right now, it’s not a sports car). Adam ---

Wasn’t Alien Nation supposed to be set a few years in the future? One of the TV movies centered around the millenium, but it was made in '96. ---

There’s a book, [Yesterday’s Tomorrows](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0801853990/qid=1136998424/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1/102-9721761-4399335?s=books&v=glance&n=283155), which covers popular visions of the future (both fictional and supposedly realistic). Quite fascinating stuff, with excellent graphics. ---

I don’t know if it’ll be adjusted for the upcoming film, but Philip K. Dick’s _A Scanner Darkly_ is set in 1994. ---
