Just wanted to say (not that anyone cares) I’m letting my paid membership lapse in a week largely because of what I perceive as the poor moderation around racism and sexism here. I’ll still be here as a Guest, so no need for any door-hitting-ass comebacks. I’m just not going to support the Dope with my money, and for only that reason, should any of TPTB be interested in people’s reasons for not re-upping. And of course I’ll gladly pay again should things improve. ---

Funny that I know at least one person snarking has also revealed why they are not a member. I don’t entirely agree with you MrDibble, but I do think there are things they could do, even within the existing rules. Like treating racist/sexist/homophobic comments as hijacks and telling them to open a thread in GD. Those who are actually interested can still “fight their ignorance” but the rest of us don’t have to see interesting threads be ruined. ---

You’re stating it because TPTB should be interested in reasons that membership is down. I also agree with you regarding how the board treats racism and sexism. Those are both reasons why I don’t pay to visit here, either. There’s lots of good here, but there’s also a shit load of bad. ---
