I seem to recall, as a child, thinking the pinnacle of humor was: Knock knock Who’s there? Bear Bear who? Bare bum! which was equal with my other favourite joke My dog has no nose (_whisper_ Say how does he smell) How does he smell? Terrible! Hahahahaha. Children are odd creatures, aren’t they. ---

When ds was 2, he’d been listening to dd 4 tell knock-knock jokes for a solid month. Bolted in his car seat, he started: ds-knock knock me-who’s there? ds-da me-da who? ds-DADDY!!! (squealing with glee) I was so surprised he got it I almost drove off the road. He hasn’t gotten one right in the past year. When they demand I start the KK jokes, I just run the litany of the states… KK WT? Miss Miss Who?
