Thanos has been orchestrating some extraordinary beat downs and humiliations for Galactus for a while now. Will there ever be payback? ---

Really? The only instance that comes to my mind is the Infinity Gauntlet affair. But then, I can’t remember the last time I read a comic with Thanos in it. Can you elaborate? I do agree that Galactus has become sort of a cosmic punching bag in general over the last twenty years or so. The first thing Writer X does when he wants us to take his new creation Zoltar the Unknowing seriously is to have him beat up Galactus. ---

The latest is the “[Annihilation Wave](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annihilation_(comics))” series where Thanos orchestrated him getting beat down, immobilized, then turned into living cosmic energy processor/collection unit. ---

Thanos also managed to trick a hungry Galactus into spending the whole night wandering through the Crab Nebula searching for “Planet Snipe.” Then there was the time Galactus was about to consume a planet for breakfast, only to discover that Thanos had filled his sugar bowl with salt. Thanos also does the thing where he reaches around and taps Galactus on the opposite shoulder, so that when Galactus looks that way there’s no one there. With that helmet, Galactus has no peripheral vision so he falls for it every time. ---

And you guys get mad at us ‘rasslin’ fans when the Great Khali squashes some poor jabroni only to be taken out by THE AMAZING FLAVOR OF THE MONTH next week. Although I personally quit collecting comics after _Tales To Astonish_ #465 when Thanos put a banana in Galactus’s tailpipe when Galactus was trying to pick [Infinity](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infinity_(comics)) up for the prom. [sub]“music of the night” was the theme that year… poor galactus…[/sub] ---

Keep in mind that Ol Purple Puss is an Eternal. He has massive amounts of energy to throw around, and when he runs out he just needs to rest to get more. Big G has The Power Cosmic. However, he very carefully avoids wasting energy as he can only recharge by eating a planet. To Galactus it is ‘Easier to let the mosquito bite than to swat it’ I don’t see Galactus ever taking traditional revenge. He knows the Mad Titan won’t stay dead ands keeps finding ways to omnipotence. ---

In fairness to Galactus, [he bounced back from that attack pretty well](http://img209.imageshack.us/my.php?image=t05082nc.jpg). But posting that with the first scan I posted would have gone against the whole “Galactus getting Punk’d by Thanos” thing.
