morally compelled, my ass. I just wanted to make the remark that someone should caluclate “post rates” such that
post rate = posts/views
and do some sort of expository study.
My quick views (I’ve been doing this for some time - can’t help it; I’m a statistician!) indicates that a majority of threads have a post rate between .05 and.10 or 5 to 50% of the readers post. What artificially skews this value downward, however, is the the inevitable “How’s my thread doing?” monitoring done by the OP.
Will someone help me write this into a grant? maybe we can get funding.
