But the title indicates that Jim’s the protagonist… IQ1: Did you lead the ten thousand? IQ2: Are you the Spanish-born bandleader I would have used for this round? 🙂 IQ3: Were you the main character in a film that shared its title with a Dylan song? ---

Looking at the lyrics, I am forced to admit that Jim is indeed the protagonist, whose comeuppance is the burden of the story. ---
