# Game Cube DVD size...why mini?

Why did Nintendo decide to go with mini disks for their games? So they could make the console smaller? It means a game with any size usually has to be on two disks.

They did it to make it harder for pirates to copy their games. IIRC the disc spins in the opposite direction of standard CD/DVD drives as well.
