well, being in last place, and having to make it to top 2,my only chance was to get something even a little bit big. seeing how every single round has transpired like clockwork, obviously wasn’t gonna happen! I’ll concede now, good luck (ha!) to the top 2. ---

That was my logic too! I figured that most, if not all, of the top four (me being #5) would take offer 1 or 2, and I needed to get SOME kind of jump over them. But I should’ve known it wouldn’t turn out like that. (Have we yet had our chosen case be anything substantial?) I too will publicly say I’ll take the deal now! ---

Round 6 has ended. I will declare those that conceded to have accepted the deal for scoring purposes. The first offer for $40000 was accepted by Mahaloth and Taber. The second offer for $50000 was accepted by Larry Borgia. The third offer for $47500 was not accepted. The fourth offer for $30500 was not accepted. The fifth offer for $900 was accepted by Biotop, Bootis, and Leaper ending the round. If play had continued the next case open would have been Case 4 for $5000 and the sixth offer would have been 230. The next case after that would have been Case 16 for .01 and the seventh offer would have been $340. Then next case after that would have been Case 13 for $750 and the eighth offer would have been $210. The last case opened would have been Case 3 for $500 and the ninth offer would have been $100. Case 1 contained $200 and the other remaining case was Case 10 which held $10. So the standings after six rounds are: 1. Mahaloth $138010 2. Larry Borgia $103500 3. Taber $76860 4. Biotop $53600 5. Leaper $37410.01 6. Bootis $33300.01 (Please check my math and let me know if I have made a mistake.) So, being eliminated are Leaper and Bootis. Bootis, in the OP I made a mistake and said that the field would be reduced to the top 2, but I corrected that in a later post and have stated at the beginning of the last two rounds that the field would be reduced to the top 4. I apologize if that has affected your strategy, but I do think I made it clear. I will start Round 7 shortly. ---

I will start the seventh round in the next post. Round 7 has ended with everyone accepting a deal. The first offer for $85000 was not accepted. The second offer for $125000 was accepted by Larry Borgia, Mahaloth, and Taber. The third offer for $85000 was not accepted. The fourth offer for $128000 was not accepted. The fifth offer for $155000 was not accepted. The sixth offer for $190000 was accepted by Biotop ending the round. If play had continued the next case open would have been Case 25 for $200 and the seventh offer would have been $290000. The next case after that would have been Case 4 for $300000 and the eighth offer would have been $250000. Then next case after that would have been Case 2 for $750 and the ninth offer would have been $480000. Case 1 contained $1000000 and the other remaining case was Case 21 which held $10000. So the standings after seven rounds are: 1. Mahaloth $263010 2. Biotop $243600 3. Larry Borgia $228500 4. Taber $201860 (Please check my math and let me know if I have made a mistake.) I have a made a mistake in the previous post. Case 16 contained $750000, but I eliminated $75000 from the list. When I posted this and previewed, I noticed that the offer seemed less than what I would have expected. Rather than do what I should have, which is to double check that I had the correct numbers, I assumed that I had made a mistake in my calculations before deciding the offer. So, I redid the offer. I will correct this in the next post, but I wanted to explain why the offer was changing as well as the numbers in the list. ---
