Dany has hardly been keeping quiet with the dragons and the conquering and all, and we don’t know how long Barristan searched for her once he arrived on the continent. He might have also observed Dany from a distance for a while to see what kind of ruler she is, but decided to act once he realized the danger.

well, it did take him a whole season to find them. And Jaine claimed to be tied to a post for year, so we can assume S2 was about a year. not an unreasonable amount of time to track her down. convenient that he found her exactly in time to save her, but it’s possible he’d been following her for some time.

Well, at least a year has passed (probably more?) between the time he was fired and found Dany. I imagine that would be enough time for anyone to find out where the Mother of Dragons was hanging out, and find them. As far as money goes - he was Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, and is a member of a noble house. I think it’s safe to say he has access to funds.

That all makes sense, thanks.

Kind of shocked that an episode where not much went down mage it to 7 pages.

When nothing happens we start talking about other things relating to the show.

I suspect you’re right. Tywin is cold, cold, cold and not given to self-delusion. With family, though, it might be different. As was once wisely noted, “Some people believe with great fervor preposterous things that just happen to coincide with their self-interest.” _Coleman v. CIR_ (7th Cir. 1986), 791 F.2d 68, 69.
