Does anyone else think that the Sand’s burning desire to avenge Oberyn by harming Marcella is decidedly un-Oberyn-like? It seems to me like it’s an insult to his memory, since he was all about not hurting children. Heck, his rage over what happened to his sister and her kids is what got him killed in the first place. Kind of missing the point to decide “let’s hurt another innocent child to make up for it!” ---

He even specifically stated that nothing would ever happen to Myrcellla in Dorne, because that’s not their ways. It’s extremely clear that the prince of Dorne is much more faithful to his brother’s memory than these women are. In fact he seems to be a very good and likeable man and ruler all around (which means that he won’t stay on screen for long. Who’s willing to bet on his survival by the end of the season?) ---

A few episodes ago, when Ellaria went to Doran and he told her something like “We do NOT harm children in Dorne,” I think one of the “Previously…” scenes had Oberyn telling someone (Tyrion?) pretty much that exact same thing. And then Ellaria hatches this plan. Yes, I think Oberyn would be _pissed_ at her. ---

I really hope the dagger that sliced Bronn wasn’t poisoned, I really like him as a character. Next weekend is Memorial Day weekend so we gotta wait two weeks until the next episode. Ideal time for a cliffhanger. I have a feeling(wishful thinking?) that the bedding of Sansa scene isn’t over just yet. ---

Question: The little girl with fucked up face (Stanis’ daughter?)… is that the same disease that Joris (sp?) got by having been touched by the Stone People (or whoever they are)? Maybe this was explained in an earlier episode, but I just thought it was a birth defect. Don’t spoil this from the books, but are we supposed to know exactly what this disease is, how it progresses and if there is any cure for it? ---

It’s called greyscale and an undetermined healer(s) managed to halt its spread in Stannis’s daughter. ---

I think he cares for her on some level, as the attractive eldest daughter of “the one that got away,” but he’s always looking out for himself and will do whatever it takes to exploit the chaos around him. I think Arya had come to care for the Hound on some level, due to shared adversities and him having saved her from some of the more unsavory folk they encountered on the road, but I never doubted that she hated him. The fight in Dorne was a little silly, I agree. Two wordless moments in this episode really struck me: The Queen of Thorn’s set-jaw glare at Cersei after Margaery is dragged off was priceless. She seemed to be saying, “Really? You think you’re going to get away with this, and come out on top? _Really?_ You have no idea what I’m capable of, honey… but I assure you, you’ll soon find out.” And poor Theon, forced to watch as Sansa was attacked. His anguish and hopelessness was quite moving. ---

I have another thing to add. I’m can’t remember if Littlefinger knew Stannis was gonna reclaim the North when he first arrived at the Bolton’s with Sansa. Ultimately I agree with The idea LF loves Sansa or at least wishes to see her unharmed and putting her in the middle of a battleground is inconsistent with that. If he found out after he after the fact it might not have been wise of him to renig on the marriage arrangement and leave with Sansa. His conversation with Roose was tense enough. ---
