Is there a timeline on the web that attempts to show relative dates of all of the events of the first 5 seasons (TV show only)? I found some that show the book events but not the show. Obviously the actors have all grown 5 years but I feel like the show’s timeline is a bit compressed. ---

I think Sansa this season even referred to something that happened on the show as being “years ago.” ---

Would it really be that hard to upgrade to an older baby/toddler every so often? ---

I for Winterfell; which is the last place in the Seven Kingdoms I’d ever set foot (well other than the Wall itself). :dubious: It’s Dorne all the way baby with the Reach a close second. ---

I personally reckon that Jon Snow is really dead dead, no resurrection coming. For simple show reasons. To have such a cliffhanger and comeback, you’d have to ensure security of the show to not give away the fact that he’s still alive. What could give hints? Well, Kitt Harrington not being available to do movies around the times that the show is filming. They’d have to isolate him from Northern Ireland sets and make sure that non disclosures are heavily enforced for all the actors and the crew. Even then that could leak. If he was in NI, say seen at the airport, or at a hotel, then that’s pretty much ruined that surprise. I think the mechanics and practicalities of the show means the only way they could do it would be for him to have minimal effect on the next season. Even if his name is on the titles of S06E01, then that’s a big giveaway. But I suppose they could always work around that (credit him in end titles instead). Still, it seems to me a very hard thing to do… It does make the wall pretty much irrelevant though now… ---

Or he could not be coming back, but they could pay him to occasionally travel to NI just to mess with people… …or better, pay for him to travel to Spain or Malta and hang around the set there 🙂 ---

One possibility I heard is that he’s in a limited number of scenes in S6, and they shot those scenes last year so they don’t have to keep him a secret this year. ---

Not sure how much footage they could have on the shelf before he’d have to noticeably be back on the set. In this 24/7 Internet age I suspect news of his returning for the next season would leak pretty soon. ---

I’d say it’s about 50/50 whether Jon is truly dead or not. They’ve set it up so that there’s a plausible mechanism that could save him but it is by no means inevitable. That’s what I like about this show. Just imagine if the Watch starts the funeral pyre, the Red Witch starts frantically praying … and Jon Snow wakes and walks from the fire _unburnt_. I’d love to see a wide-eyed Alliser shit himself over that. ---

One thing I’m sure of for next season: Cersei is never going anywhere ever again without her new giant bodyguard by her side, and especially not anywhere near the Sparrows. If she does show up for her trial, it should be interesting to see how the High Sparrow and his minions react to Mount Zombie glaring down at them. ---
