There’s enough fucking on _Game of Thrones_, I’d say. There just aren’t enough on-screen fucking big _battles_. ---

I’ve been enjoying the series _Game of Thrones_, but if you took away the tits & ass my concentration would inevitably drift to my smartphone, where (as it happens) the T&A never end. Just being brutally honest, and no offense to our current Initial-Initial-Initial-Last Name fantasy author. ---

HBO series tend to have a lot of nudity/sex in the beginning, and slowly taper it off as the series continues. See _The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire_, etc.; there was a ton of nudity/sex in the first season, and as the show continued, gradually tapered off to the point where it wasn’t in every episode, and eventually relatively rare (or mostly in the background e.g. the Bada Bing). It’s something titillating to put in the commercials and get people to start watching, and hopefully they’ll get into the story and keep watching. From what I recall there wasn’t any nudity in the latest episode of _Game of Thrones_ (“The Ghost of Harrenhal”). ---

Most of the battles in the books were not described in great detail while they were occurring–we just read about the preparation & the aftermath. I think they are playing it just right. The various intrigues are more interesting than a bunch of people thrashing around at each other with swords in a big staged battle. And if the characters can intrigue while naked, all the better, I say. Moreover, as far as fight scenes go, small skirmishes and one-on-one fights are more interesting than big battles, too. ---
