Okay, this topic has been going for a long time and it’s mostly been okay…so I’d hate to have it close it because of people constantly breaking the “no copyrighted material” rule.
You cannot post the full lyrics of a song. Even posting any more than half is frowned upon. A line or verse is fine, but when you start posting the whole song, it becomes a problem as that is against the rules here.
I have edited numerous posts in here where people post MOST of a song. Let’s keep it down to one or two lines, everyone. Three or four at the most.
Okay, I’m going to have to shut this down for now as it breaks the “No posting copyrighted materials” rule many times over (which I was just made aware of for the first time).
The staff will be discussing what to do with it, but there’s a possible chance it may be moved and you’ll just have to restart it.
Please withhold starting a new topic of this nature for now.
Okay, reopening this after removing several hundred posts from the last 7-8 pages that were mostly entire songs (or close to it).
From here on, please only post snippets of songs. One or two verses is okay, but anything more than HALF the song is pushing it. Even half the song itself might be…try to keep the lyrics as short as you can to get the point across.
