I’m waiting for the part where you demonstrate why _ **I** _ should take you seriously. I don’t know if you’ve always been this way and hidden it or if you got an abnormally hard knock on the head a while back but in the past several months, you’ve been nothing but an irrelevant and sad misogynistic fool seemingly incapable of maintaining the slightest bit of cogency on any topic you set your dribbling thoughts to. So before you start castigating others for a lack of self-reflection, the mirror’s right there, Seymour, why don’t you take a gander? ---

Would you call Mozart’s Requiem “fun”? We usually associate “fun” with something that’s pleasurable but shallow. It’s diverting, but not moving. It holds our attention (sometimes very tightly) but leaves us unchanged when it ends. Identifying games with fun biases design toward a more ephemeral sort of engagement, toward self-contained rule sets that avoid more challenging/deeper sorts of engagement. ---

You cited a article that demonstrated that several years ago male gaming developers were treated appallingly by fans, and used that to state that what was happening right now to female developers is exactly the same and there is nothing wrong with that. That ignored the fact that the threats and abuse have been ramped up during gamergate, and that threats and abuse are never, ever acceptable. My description of you was accurate. It wasn’t name calling. It described exactly what you were doing in five words. ---
