\*\*Jophiel \*\*would like to discuss how sometimes indie games are praised more for what they attempt than for the quality of their execution. He believes that Quinn’s game \*Depression Quest \*is an example of this, and is annoyed that any attempt to start a discussion along those lines is being drowned out by the people who are talking about her harassment.

However, I would say that having the sort of discussion that he wants to have is impossible at this point. The well is too thoroughly poisoned. GamerGate only exists as a story outside the narrow boundaries of the indie game scene because of Zoe Quinn’s harassment. Otherwise most people never would have heard of it at all.

If \*\*Jophiel \*\*is actually interested in discussing the indie game scene and how games (worthy or not) are promoted within it, I would urge him to start a thread in the Game Room using a less-toxic example.
