Okay, thanks. I think what was throwing me off was that I was “hearing” an extra syllable in there. As in “_Fuh_ **ly** you fools!” Also, my hearing isn’t what it once was, having once been a rock drummer. Thanks for your responses, both serious **and** witty! 😃 Q ---

In my DVD he says “Run, you fools”. But then I got the Battle of the Old School Rappers version and Frodo and Samwise kept insisting that LL Cool J was the best of the lot. ---

Me too, Quasi, It sounds like he says something like “Folly, you fools!” As in “it would be folly to try to help me now.” But once I considered the possibility that it was “fly”, I was certain that was what it was (I didn’t remember that part of the book.) ---

I just wanted to say that of all the sad moments in the trilogy, this is the one where I tear up most. Especially watching FoTR the first time on screen, even though I knew it was coming. A testament to Ian McKellan’s abilities. Still do, when I see it, BTW. ---
