His tickets for the Little Rock concert sold out in just a day or two. Fans can’t wait to see him. I like Garth too. I didn’t even try for tickets because I knew they’d all be gone. I’ll just listen to his albums at home. ---

Selling nine albums for thirty bucks doesn’t sound like “generous” to me. It sounds like “Has-been who’s desperately trying to wring out a few more bucks”. Now, I don’t see that that reflects poorly on him in any way that matters, but it’s just a business decision, and I don’t see that it reflects well, either. ---

Not quite. He’s been one of the last few holdouts that refuses to release his music for download. I believe this is the first time you can download his music, so it’s his entire catalog and it’s way cheaper than it would have been through an other source. ---

We went to his show in Lexington a few weeks ago. I’ve never been a fan, though there are certainly songs of his that I enjoy. It was a pretty awesome show. He went all out for two solid hours (which is always pretty rare, especially with no breaks or changes, aside from one 3-song set with his wife) - and then he did it all over again 45 minutes later for the 2nd show that night. Oh, and he did the same thing the night before. The guy’s a performer. Most impressive was the fact that after about 3 or 4 songs, he stopped, and said, “This next song is from my new album. It’ll be the only new song I play. If y’all like any of the other songs from my album, I’ll play those next time I come around - but I know what you came to hear.” I know the cliche that bands are only out to push their new album, and you’re lucky to hear just a handful of their hits (which I’ve honestly never really encountered in real life), but he seemed very aware of what people paid money to come hear.
