# Gawd, I want a cigarette sooooo bad!

I haven’t smoked since January 1st, and I wish to stab someone. Anyone, doesn’t matter who. It’s itching _under_ my skin and I want a fucking fag so bad I can quite literally taste it in the back of my mouth. Mind - strong - body - weak - must - fight - urges -

Deep breathing, sips of water. The craving goes away after about a half hour.

So, any reason why you can’t have another go?

It took me several tries and only really took when I ran out of excuses to smoke. I’ve only had one lapse in (_counts_ - oh, that’s a surprise) almost six years. Hypnosis, patches, cold turkey, counselling … nothing worked, until something did.

I’m just over five months quit now, and sometimes it’s still rather tempting. Get addicted to the feeling of winning against the craving, that’s the way to go I say!
