**Mister nyx** , surely you remember your special hat. It protects your head from the bad things. You wore it in Mz. Jenkin’s classroom after you started getting the owies from banging your head against the desk. The hat keeps you from having the owies. You don’t want the owies, do you? You _like_ your special hat. Remember when you took the training wheels off of your bicycle? It was a Schwinn. A shiny blue one. You were nineteen years old. And you rode that bicycle down the whole street! Yes you did. We were all so proud. But remember the tree? You named it “Boo Radley”. Well that tree jumped out and grabbed you, didn’t it? It was pretty good that you were wearing your speciial hat. ---
