Apparently it is better for children to be left unadopted than to have to deal with a parent of the “wrong” sex buying a training bra or teaching them how to shave (like women don’t know how to shave? We probably shave 10 times the area that men do. No one taught me how to shave anyway, and the idea of a parent doing so is a bit creepy. OK, enough shaving hijack.) And woudn’t two gay fathers be _ideal_ for preparing a girl for her first dance? She’ll be fabulous! 😃

(I mean, for a girl with say, two dads, could ask her aunt about menstruation and girl stuff…or a female friend of Dads).

Well, now, granted that a _real_ woman would never go messing around with a big, dirty, oily car engine or try her hand at _building_ anything, you have to take into consideration that a lot of these lesbians are awfully butch. Why, I’ll bet some of them change their own oil and everything!

Huh- I’ll have to ask my friend Brian, father of two lovely girls who he has raised on his own for the last 16 years, how on earth he survived or taught his girls the life skills they need.

So, in other words…I, as a physician, would be unqualified to help my daughter understand menstruation. However, I would be qualified to teach my son about working on cars, despite the fact that I can barely put gas in the damn thing.

I think I would have an easier time teaching my daughter about menstruation and girly stuff than boy stuff.
I play soccer, but don’t really care about any other sports too much.
I don’t have the slightest idea how to do most things with a car. Hell, I don’t even change my own oil.
Ditto with building stuff, but I _had_ to learn a certain amount so I wouldn’t go broke.
Guns kida scare me.

Well, I guess families are only important to these particular people as long as they stay within the narrow range of “acceptable” families. Obviously orphans/kids being shuttled around to foster homes are better than being raised by these… “people”.

Doesn’t he realize that in every lesbian couple there’s one hairy, sweaty, bull dyke who knows more about auto repair and heavy construction than most men who can give a boy more then enough of a masculine role model.

I dunno… I’m sure that if I had two dads, I wouldn’t really be more embarassed about telling them I had my period as I was telling my mom. It’s **not** a girl thing for me, I figure it’s kinda embarassing either way.

Come on…hasn’t anyone here seen that early 90’s TV show called “My Two Dad’s” where two men tried to raise a girl and tons of hilarity ensued.
I just have to think of my friend who’s mom died when she was little and thus she was raised by her father. I know she figured out menstration somehow… :rolleyes:
